MEET OUR TEAM

Linda Mallers

CEO

Linda is the CEO and President of FarmLogix, launching the business from her kitchen table in 2012. Today, Linda oversees our national corporate and governmental partnerships, as well as the strategy and scale of the FarmLogix technology platform.  She holds a BA in English from UW-Wisconsin-Madison with a Journalism minor, a degree in graphic design from the American Academy of Art, and was an MS candidate in Computer Science at the University of Chicago until the birth of her fourth child.

Cliff Porzenheim

COO

Cliff is the COO of FarmLogix, joining us after an 20+ year executive tenure at GATX and a Blackstone investment in transportation leasing. Cliff also held tenure as a strategy consultant at BCG and AT Kearney, working with large corporate clients that include American Airlines and General Motors. Cliff oversees FarmLogix’ national scale and pricing strategies, in addition to our investor relations. He holds a BS from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

James Gross

VP Supply Chain

Jimmy brings over 20 years of experience in the 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) space, successfully identifying new sources for product and creating innovative, value-added supply chain solutions that deliver program success for our food team. Jimmy oversees sourcing, processing, new vendor outreach and onboarding, and ongoing logistics execution in the multiple regions FarmLogix serves. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Madison.

William Swyter

Open Fields Lead Software Engineer

As a Software Developer, Will Swyter builds systems that streamline data operations and enable informed decision-making. In addition to an MS in Computer Science, he brings extensive experience capturing agriculture industry data to create tools for market analysis. With the belief that healthy, sustainably-grown, and locally-sourced food access can be a catalyst for greater change, Will is committed to growing the capabilities and scope of the FarmLogix technology platforms.

Patricia Medina

Controller

Patricia handles all FarmLogix accounting functions with customers, distributors and farms. She also works on our USDA grants and manages our banking relationships. Patricia brings over 30 years of accounting experience from the banking and commodities/futures industries, as well as former oversight of a supply chain of nutritional products into Walgreens. Patricia holds a B.A. in Accounting from Monmouth College.

Karun Jacob

Data Analysis & Reporting Manager

Karun heads up Data Analysis and Reporting for FarmLogix, merging his passion for technology and sustainability to provide analysis and 3rd party sustainability to FarmLogix clientele. Karun has an MS in Environmental Management and Sustainability a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Sofia Jouravel

Business Development Manager

Sofia joins FarmLogix after recently completing a graduate internship with the Chicago Department of Public Health focusing on healthy kids' meals in Chicago's chain restaurants. She has a B.A. in Environmental Economics & Policy from UC Berkeley and a MPH from Northwestern University.

Martin Garcia

Project Manager

An accomplished visual artist with national and international showings, Martin manages our technology development pipeline and projects. Martin built a nationwide visual design solution for OfficeMax and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra prior to joining FarmLogix.

Rhoda Carnate

Data Encoder

Rhoda comes to FarmLogix from the Philippines, where she earned her BS in Accounting, and now oversees the integrity of FarmLogix’ database, researching the sustainable and local attributes that FarmLogix tracks for it clients across the country.

Jacob Lewis

Full Stack/UI Developer

Jacob Lewis is a Software Developer at FarmLogix. Coming from a background in Mathematics and the commodities markets, Jacob brings a diversity of skills to his role as a full-stack web developer. Jacob plays chess and enjoys live music at many of Chicago's fine venues in addition to programming. He has a BS in Theoretical Mathematics from Metropolitan State College of Denver.

Kate Berman

Marketing and Content Manager

Kate Berman runs our education program at Chicago Public Schools, bringing farms into the classroom monthly to educate students on where their food comes from and the importance of eating heatlhy. She also manages FarmLogix’ East Coast accounts. Kate has a BS in Public Health and a BA in French from Saint Louis University.

Kim Minestra

K-12 Program Manager

Kim Minestra has been the Director of Nutrition Services at Evanston Township HS in Evanston, IL for 6 years, preparing 4,500 scratch meals per day from a central kitchen for multiple locations. She is also the former President of IL SNA. Kim has worked with FarmLogix since 2012 as our first K-12 customer, and now brings her expertise to us consulting on F2S for self-ops and GPOs.

Maria Stankevich

Front end developer

Maria has been with FarmLogix for three years. She is a passionate creative talent, with a Bachelors Degree in Media Arts and Technology. Having founded Neva Design in 2009, she is a seasoned Web Designer with close to a decade’s worth of experience as a Front End Developer.

CloudSlot Development Team

(left to right) Mariana, Hernan and Tomas head up our offshore CloudSlot development team in South America. Hernan has worked with FarmLogix for two years on the original proprietary development of the CloudSlot platform. Today CloudSlot runs FarmLogix' e-commerce and reporting functions with the expansion of his team. Hernan, Mariana and Tomas' collaboration began in the consulting world, and between them they have developed solutions for international banks, Google and Accenture in Argentina.
